What We Do

Based in Falmouth, we provide spaying/neutering, veterinary care, medical treatment and foster homes for unwanted, abandoned and feral cats in Nova Scotia.

We safely trap, neuter/spay feral cats and release them back to their colonies.

Foster care for abandoned cats and kittens until they can be adopted into forever homes.

When we have adoptable cats or kittens, we do our best to match them with a forever home and family.

Welcome to our website! Please follow us on facebook for up to date news, events, and adoptable felines.

We are overwhelmed by their kindness! Just showing what big hearts they have...we presented 9-Lives Cat Rescue NS with the #HometownHero recognition yesterday. And today, Margo drops off fresh muffins, jam, and a thank you card for the staff. It was our pleasure to recognize the great work you do for feral & homeless cats in the valley, you ladies are the best! 💗 The smell coming from the muffins could be smelled around the whole building. Certainly not necessary, but very much appreciated! ~ April ... See MoreSee Less

If your cat is pregnant or recently had kittens, keep reading!

As part of this program, Bide Awhile will spay your mother cat at no cost to you, and under our care, we will have all kittens vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, spayed/neutered, tested for feline leukemia, health checked and adopted to a loving, forever home.
